Westgarth Glass is a family owned business that started operating in 1985 servicing the Inner City of Melbourne. Kirk started the business from a shopfront in High St. Northcote many years ago, with the idea of promoting safety with glass after his son Paul had an accident going through a glass door.
When Kirk started the business, splashbacks, double glazing and architectural glass hadn’t been conceived in the mass market. Specialists with expensive machinery were the only producers and costs were so high that is was prohibitive for ordinary applications. Glaziers at the time were considered a hack and replace trade that fixed broken windows or installed glass in window frames.
Now, there is such a wide variety of glass options available to consumers, choosing the right glass for the right application can be daunting. That’s where we come in, feel free to call us and explain what you want to do and we’ll find the right glass for you.
